The Book of Psalms contains many songs and prayers traditionally attributed to David. His psalms express a wide range of emotions—praise, worship, thanksgiving, repentance, fear, sorrow, confidence, and hope in God. David often wrote about God's faithfulness, righteousness, protection, and mercy. His writings give us a personal picture of a man who trusted God not because his circumstances were always favorable, but because he believed God remained faithful through them all.
